Jill Raines, GCGH Director of Quality, has received the Outstanding DAISY Champion Award. This award is given to directors of the DAISY Award committee, the group that is responsible for reviewing DAISY Award nominations for extraordinary nurses, and choosing honorees.
Mark and Bonnie Barnes, co-founders of the DAISY Award, visited Greene County General Hospital recently to help celebrate the most recent DAISY honoree, Susan O’Neall, during National Nurses Week. When the Barnes family visited the hospital and met Jill, they knew she deserved to receive the Outstanding DAISY Champion Award.
Bonnie Barnes recorded a personal message for Jill, which was played during a senior staff meeting at the hospital, and Mark Barnes signed an official certificate for her to keep.
