As of 8/16/2021: The CDC is recommending an additional COVID 19 vaccine if you are immunocompromised. This includes people who have:
• Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
• Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
• Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
• Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
• Advanced or untreated HIV infection
• Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response
We have the Pfizer booster vaccine available in our drive up clinic (every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) You must receive the same brand as your previous vaccines and there needs to be 28 days between your last vaccine. Please bring your vaccine record card, if you have it. Appointments are not necessary but are recommended to reduce wait times.
