The general purpose of the Foundation is to improve the facilities and services of the hospital; raise and expend funds for capital improvements; educational programs and medical or hospital related research; and provide financial assistance for the improvement of health, safety, and general welfare of the hospital and the community.

Kyle Cross serves as Greene County General Hospital Foundation Director. A lifelong resident of Greene County, Cross is a 2012 Associate of Science Graduate from Vincennes University and a 2014 graduate of Indiana State University (BS, Health Sciences). Since joining the Foundation in 2014, Cross has overseen major fundraising events including Traffic Jam, the Pink is the New Greene Motorcycle Ride, annual gun raffle, and the Laughter is the Best Medicine Gala. His efforts have secured over $316,000 in competitive grant funding and raised over $73,000 from contributions and fundraisers to support critical public health initiatives including the Sweet Dreams Baby Bundles program, smoking cessation, and important annual exams for indigent patient populations. Cross has been trained as Rural Health Grant Writing Specialist through the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health.
