The first baby born at Greene County General Hospital in 2020 made his grand entrance this weekend.
Waylon Lee Dunn was born Jan. 4, 2020 at 8:33 a.m. to Makenzie and Jordan Dunn, of Linton.
The newest member of the Dunn family weighed in at 10 pounds 8 ounces and is 23 inches long.
Mom said she expected Waylon to be a big boy, but they were a little shocked when he weighed in.
“I knew he would be big, but not 10-and-a-half pounds,” Makenzie said with a laugh.
Waylon and his parents went home Monday morning, where they joined his sister, 2-year-old Harper Jo Dunn.
Dad said Harper was a little skeptical of the newest addition to the family, but she is finally warming up to him and ready to spend time with her baby brother.
“At first, she wasn’t sure, but now she’s getting excited,” Jordan said.
Waylon’s maternal grandparents are Deb Garver and Greg Haltom and his paternal grandparents are Elisa McKee and Roger Dunn.
Makenzie said she was incredibly grateful for the staff in Greene County General Hospital’s OB unit.
“The staff has been amazing. (Nurse) Brooke (Driscol) is top-notch,” Makenzie said.
