Brenda Reetz serves as Greene County General Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer. She began her career at Greene County General Hospital in May 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and became CEO in May 2013. Reetz is a registered nurse by background and has worked clinically in several areas but considers her clinical specialty to be emergency nursing. Prior to joining GCGH, Reetz was the nursing leader for Providence Medical Group in Portland, Oregon. She is a Greene County native and White River Valley High School graduate. Reetz received a nursing degree from Vincennes University in 1999. She continued her education at Oregon Health and Sciences University, Chamberlain School of Nursing, and Washington State University. She has a bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain School of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University. Reetz also serves as Chair of the Region 8 Workforce Board, is a member of the Vincennes University Foundation Board, and the Greene County General Hospital Foundation Board. She has previously served on the Boards for Indiana Hospital Association and Indiana Rural Hospital Association. In 2019, she was awarded the Indiana Rural Hospital Association’s Leadership Award and in 2020 was awarded the American Hospital Association’s Grassroots Champion Award. She also has a passion for agriculture and helps on her family farm located in Greene County.
